BAY AREA ALL YOUTH FELLOWSHIP
2025 / VISUAL IDENTITY, BRANDING

Logo suite design for Bay Area All Youth Fellowship (BAAYF), a non-profit organization that runs an annual summer camp with a mission to connect middle and high school students with Christ.

I created four logo lockups to cater to different applications, maintaining a consistent yet dynamic identity for the organization that evokes excitement and nostalgia even as the camp themes change each year. At the center is a bold, calligraphic wordmark that captures the wild, youthful energy of the camp, which can be paired with the full organization name for brand clarity or a secondary icon merging redwoods with the Golden Gate Bridge for visual context.

Deliverables: logo lockups for social media, apparel, print material, and website re-design. Other applications created by BAAYF staff.

THE PROCESS

In addition to needing to fit a wide range of scales, the logo needed to reflect the locality and spirit of the camp and work cohesively with the camp theme designs that are drawn by a student every year. I found that leaning too far into illustration clashed with the theme designs, but many pre-existing fonts felt too stiff, leading me to hand-draw a custom wordmark instead. I then re-iterated the tree-bridge icon from another design in the same brushed style as a secondary component of the modular logo system.
