Elwing Gao is a Bay-Area-native currently finishing her senior year at The Cooper Union (NYC). She is an artist, graphic designer, bookmaker, fruit-muncher, and occasional songwriter, with a passion for work that intertwines nature, language, and art. Her practice blends elegance with wit and playfulness, much like the spontaneous high kicks she always breaking out. True to her namesake, she is commonly found daydreaming about Lord of the Rings, ideally somewhere with lots of trees and fresh air.
Currently an intern at Odgis + Co.
Recent collaborators: Typographics 2024, the Herb Lubalin Study Center, In Fine Company Broadway Productions, Remnant Westside Church.
Found in: Kalopsia Literary Magazine and Lantern Review, a former literary arts journal celebrating Asian-American art and writing.
