About
Elwing Gao is a Bay Area native and recent graduate of The Cooper Union (NYC). She is an artist, graphic designer, bookmaker, fruit-muncher, and occasional songwriter with a passion for bridging language and art. Her practice balances elegance with wit and playfulness—much like the spontaneous high kicks she is always breaking out—and she draws inspiration from both the natural world and her cultural heritage.
Open to freelance work and full-time positions.
Recent collaborators: Odgis + Co, Typographics 2024, the Herb Lubalin Study Center, In Fine Company Broadway Productions, Remnant Westside Church.
Found in: Kalopsia Literary Magazine and Lantern Review, a former literary arts journal celebrating Asian-American art and writing.
